“Ultraviolet” is a rare concept release, so it felt appropriate to have the artist behind it, TÉNÈBRE, briefly describe the process himself:

“I often build a new record around a specific production constraint or technique. This time, it was built around the sonic concept of “negative fields”: carving out holes and patterns within the full audio spectrum rather than filling the blanks. The result is a maximalist, harsh sound at first glance, yet one born from a fundamentally reductionist approach to sound design. I find it interesting to apply this kind of restraint across a whole series of tracks, while allowing them to share the same sonic DNA as each one finds its own way through the noise.”
