There are names in techno that move like soundwaves through steel. You see them on a lineup, the vinyl’s center-label, blinking on a CDJ readout in some cavernous warehouse, and you just know that there will be a sudden shift in energy. Tensal is one of those names. He doesn’t just contribute to techno, he refines and sharpens it into an edge that you can’t resist walking on.
The thing about a Tensal track is that it fits anywhere: among polymetric hypnosis, peak-hour pummeling, late-night machine prayer; always channeling the DNA of classics, but expertly submitted to mutation that always comes with his signature.
Void+1 knew exactly what they were doing when they handed him the keys to their laboratories: “Metaphysical Trauma”, is not just an EP, it is one of his most essential blueprints yet; a blueprint for a temporal weapon in disguise, with four tracks in the barrel that hit like excerpts of an alternate timeline where dancefloors were battlegrounds: feral, seductive and unrelenting.
